(Oahu, HI)
Hi! Sorry for being MIA had visitors the last 2 weekends and then was in Hawaii this past week which was SO needed. Starting a new job today woohoo!! I think im going to be very busy and like it a lot. Also about to be traveling again for like a month straight so busy unpacking and repacking.
The vibe:

Palm trees, sunshine, and pina coladas
Doing:
Ugh so much fun, had the most magical week obviously spent hours on the beach, LOTS of reading, tanning, swimming in the ocean soo relaxing. Also did a horse ride one day at THE most beautiful little ranch on the north shore right on the beach, next to the polo grounds. So many horsies like genuinely the most beautiful, perfect, peaceful little area. Also had a rainy day so I checked out the Honolulu Art Museum, surprisingly big with some great collections. (if anyone wants to discuss Georgia O'keefe further lmk)

Wearing:
In vacation mode, bikinis and dresses. No better feeling than showering off all the sand and putting on your dinner dress. I thrifted this black one a while ago, I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be a skirt but it’s perfect length for a midi dress and makes me want to twirl. I honestly can’t remember where I got the white one from but i love the open back and the bell sleeves. SO cute.

Watching:
Watched Dune 1 on the plane ride over and dune 2 in theaters last night. Not a huge sci-fi girl but these movies are actually so good, especially the second one, seriously go see it while it’s still in the theater the music/ soundtrack is incredible. Timothee shalamadu def has some cringe moments but overall this movie is epic and i want to ride a sand worm.
Eating:
Poke, duh. I never thought I would say this but by the end of the trip i was …. Poke’d out. But now i already miss it. Also had the most delicious perfect lilikoi french toast, which is one of my all time favorite treats.
Recs:
North Shore/ Haleiwa: Farm to Barn Cafe, Poke No. 7
Aeia: Poke by the pound, Nami Kaze
Honolulu: Moku Kitchen, Deck, Art Museum Cafe (honestly was so good haha)

Reading:
This is kind of funny, i brought “Shark Heart : A love story”. I usually don’t read hardcore romance but i was like this will be perfect for the beach, nice and light and fun. Starting on literally page 10, the plot of this book is that the husband turns into a literal great white shark, Tails, fins, and gills. Not at all what I was expecting but actually ended up being very good and extremely well written.
Also halfway through “Family Meal,” so far it’s a little vulgar for my taste but will update next week.
Listening:
In my house era, exclusively this playlist on shuffle thank you wes.
See a lot of you silly chickens very soon <3 have the best week
hawaii...sigh! Glad you had so much fun....and didn't burn baby.
